The purpose of these visits is to:

  • Screen for diseases
  • Assess risk of future medical problems
  • Encourage a healthy lifestyle
  • Update vaccinations
  • Maintain a relationship with a health care provider in case of an illness

Recommended Physical Exam Frequency for Newborns (Ages 0-2)

  • Age = 2 Weeks
  • Age = 2 Months
  • Age = 4 Months
  • Age = 6 Months
  • Age = 9 Months
  • Age = 12 Months
  • Age = 15 Months
  • Age = 18 Months
  • Age = 24 Months

Recommended Physical Exam frequency for Children and Young Adults (Age 2-22)

Annual physical examinations are recommended for all children and young adults between the ages of 2 and 22.
